Letting My Life Speak
I’m in a space that many leaders will do almost anything to avoid. That space where the last job has ended, the next job hasn’t turned up and it's time to reflect. It feels like a new dawn. As I reflect on this space I’ve been reminded of Parker J. Palmer’s work; “Let your Life Speak: Listening for the Voice of Vocation” and I’m particularly fond of his idea of “Letting your life speak before you speak over it”. I’m in the early stages of listening to my life speak although this is what it’s telling me and what I’m beginning to hear.
